Who can become a member?
To become a Valoramás member, you must be at least 18 years old and be a United States resident. For more information please click here.

Will I get my money’s worth?
A Valoramás membership is an investment that more than pays for itself.

As a Valoramás member, you will receive exclusive savings on more than 9,000,000 products from almost 2,000 popular and trusted online retailers in the Valoramás Shopping Mall.

Can I shop at Valoramás if I am not a member?

Shopping at Valoramás is available exclusively to members.

Do you have a Risk-Free 100% Satisfaction Guarantee?
Yes. We will refund your membership fee at any time if you are dissatisfied. Refunds will be provided on a pro rata basis for unused months of remaining service on your Valoramás membership (measured by one full calendar month durations). Any full month that has not been used will be refunded (no service or hidden fees of any kind will be charged). How can I renew my membership?
Members should login to Valoramás by entering their user name or e-mail address and password in the login tab, and then go to My Account (My Account is a drop down under the Membership tab on the navigation bar). Choose “Renew Membership” from the choices provided on your My Account page.

Please allow 24 hours to process and update your renewal. You will receive a confirmation e-mail upon completion of the renewal.

How can I get information about my membership account?
Members should login to Valoramás by entering their user name or e-mail address and password in the login tab, and then go to My Account (My Account is a drop down under the Membership tab on the navigation bar).

How do I update my Valoramás member information?
Members should login to Valoramás by entering their user name or e-mail address and password in the login tab, and then go to My Account (My Account is a drop down under the Membership tab on the navigation bar). In My Account you can update your member information.

Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar

Do I have to download the Toolbar to shop at Valoramás?
No. You do not have to download the Toolbar to shop at Valoramás. The Toolbar is designed to help you maximize your savings opportunities with Valoramás. Also, the Toolbar allows you to earn cash every time you search.

What is the Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar and how do I use it?

The Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar expands your ability to earn cash back on every purchase from participating retailers. Also, the Toolbar allows you to make money when you search. Please click here to install the Toolbar.

For example, in addition to earning cash back by going directly to valoramas.com, logging in, clicking on “Shop the Mall Now” under the Shopping tab in the navigation bar and then making a Qualified Purchase, the Toolbar allows you to earn cash back when you make a Qualifying Purchase visiting a participating retailer’s website either via a direct type-in, clicking on a Pay Per Click ad or through a search result. Please see the Terms of Service information on what constitutes a Qualifying Purchase.

Plus, after installing the Toolbar, as long as the Toolbar remains active in your browser, you will be able to make money by performing valid searches.

Does it cost anything to install and use the Toolbar?
No. The Toolbar is 100% free!

Is the Toolbar compatible with all browsers and operating systems?

The Toolbar currently works with Internet Explorer on the Windows operating system, and Firefox on Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems.

Will the Toolbar install spyware, adware or malware on my computer?
No. The Toolbar is a simple plug-in that provides ready access to the features and functions you use online every day – plus some new tools you’ll love! It is free of spyware, adware and malware.

If I search through the Toolbar, will I receive the same quality search results?
Absolutely! Our partnerships with search providers allow us to deliver the same quality search results you would otherwise receive by using some of your favorite search engines.

Why am I getting a notification that my search is invalid?
We use sophisticated algorithms to determine valid searches in accordance with Yahoo! If you are not credited for your searches it means they have been flagged as invalid. Please understand that the current status is not permanent. You will receive credit for your searches if you continue to search naturally throughout your day.

Why isn’t my toolbar counting ALL of my searches and my stats reset to zero?
If your toolbar has suddenly stopped counting your searches and/or your statistics seem to have been reset, you may have been logged out of the toolbar. You should log out and back in to the toolbar. Your search counter restarts every month.

If I’m already using another company’s Toolbar, can I install your Toolbar, too?
Yes. Internet Explorer and Firefox will support multiple Toolbars.

How do I remove other Toolbars I’ve previously installed, so I’m just using your Toolbar?
It’s quick and easy to remove other Toolbars you’ve installed on Internet Explorer and Firefox.

  1. Open the “View” menu of your browser,
  2. Choose “Toolbars”,
  3. Uncheck the toolbar name

Then go to the Add and Remove Program utility in the Windows Control Panel (Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs), find the toolbar’s name, then click the “Remove” button and follow the instructions.

The alternative is to run the toolbar’s supplied uninstaller, which should be available via the options or settings on the toolbar.

Help! Why am I receiving errors when I try to install the Toolbar?
If you receive strange errors when trying to install the Toolbar, you may not have the proper administrative privileges on your computer. Before installing the Toolbar, make sure that you are using the computer’s administrator account. If problems persist, contact the administrator to install the Toolbar for you.

I installed the Toolbar but I do not see it on my browser. What should I do?
If your Toolbar does not immediately appear after installation, it may be hidden.

How can I move the Toolbar to a different location on my Internet Explorer browser window?
To move the Toolbar on your browser window, you must first unlock it. Simply right click on the Toolbar and deselect “Lock the Toolbars” option. Then move the Toolbar anywhere you’d like at the top of your browser.

Note: You can only move the Toolbar to locations at the top of your browser window. Toolbars cannot be placed on the side or the bottom of the browser window.

How do I search the web with the Toolbar?
Just to the right of the logo in your Toolbar, type in your search term then hit “Enter” on your keyboard. Your search results will appear in the browser window. It’s that simple!

Why did my search counter reset to zero?
Your search counter restarts every month. Your cashback rewards are done on a monthly basis for your searches. In your account statement you should be able to see how much cash back you have earned so far in total for your searches.

What is the Toolbar’s privacy policy?
No personal information is required to install and use the Toolbar. Please see our Privacy Policy here.

If I have a question about the Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar, whom should I contact?
For questions or issues with the Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar, click on ‘Help’ located in the dropdown menu under the Valoramás logo in the toolbar or click here to contact our Member Care team.

Cash Back

What is cash back?
Cash back is a cash discount equal to a percentage of the amount charged per Qualified Purchase made directly through valoramas.com or when making a Qualified Purchase using the Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar. Members must be logged in to valoramas.com to earn cash back. Merchants pay Valoramás a sales commission for sending shoppers their way. Valoramás uses the commission to pay members cash back and to support organizations making a difference in our community. Please see the Terms of Service for more information on all aspects of cash back.

What is a Qualifying Purchase?
A Qualifying Purchase is a product or service purchased that is eligible for cash back. Please see the merchant’s “restricted” or “non-commissionable” list on the merchant’s page in the Mall for information on products that are not eligible for cash back.

How do I earn cash back?
Getting cash back is easy once you are a Valoramás member.
There are two ways to receive exclusive savings from Valoramás’ almost 2,000 popular online retail partners and the best cash back rates on the Web:

  • By going to valoramas.com, logging in, clicking on the Shopping tab, and then making a Qualified Purchase; and
  • By making a Qualifying Purchase when using the Valoramás Cash Back Toolbar.

The Toolbar expands your ability to earn cash back on every Qualified Purchase from participating retailers.

For example, in addition to earning cash back by going directly to valoramas.com, logging in, clicking on the Shopping tab, and then making a Qualified Purchase, the Toolbar allows you to earn cash back when you make a Qualifying Purchase visiting a participating retailer’s website either via a direct type-in, clicking on a Pay Per Click ad or through a search result.

Click on “How to Shop” and “How to Use the Toolbar” in the drop down menu under Shopping in the Valoramás navigation bar to learn how to maximize your saving and cash back opportunities. Also, please see the Valoramás Toolbar End User License Agreement (“EULA”) for more information.

How much cash back can I earn?
The amount of cash back you earn varies by merchant and product category. Some reward a flat amount instead of a percentage of your Qualified Purchase; some pay cash back based on your order subtotal, excluding taxes and surcharges; others pay different rates based on the type of merchandise or total amount purchased. View current cash back rates on any merchant’s detail page. The merchant detail page is the page that comes up when you click on the merchant. There is a restrictions section on that page that will tell the member if any items they buy are non-commissionable (ineligible for cash back).

Is there a maximum cash back amount that I can earn?
There is no upper limit or cap on the amount of cash back that you can earn monthly or annually.

Can I earn cash back at a participating retail partner’s physical location?
No. While some Valoramás retail partners also have stores, in order to earn cash back from purchases, members must shop online in the Valoramás Shopping Mall.

I just realized that you partner with my favorite online retailer and I would like to get retroactive credits. How do I do that?
We are unable to assist with retroactive credit requests for past purchases made through other channels.

Do I earn cash back if I purchase gift cards and/or use discount or promotion codes when shopping at Valoramás’ retail partners?
There is no guarantee that a purchase of a gift card or a purchase made using a gift card will earn cash back. In addition, cash back is typically not awarded when combined with other discounts or promotions. Please refer to the individual retail partner’s terms and conditions for details.

Where can I view my total cash back?
On your “My Account” page.

When can I receive my cash back?
Once you earn $15 in cash back, anytime on demand. To receive your cash back, go to your “My Account” page and follow the instructions.

How can I receive my cash back?
We pay Members in U.S. dollars by check via U. S. Mail. In addition, Members may donate their cash back to the Valoramás Community Grant Fund (the “Fund”). We do our best to expedite payments.

To receive payment of accrued cash back you must establish and maintain an active account with us with the information necessary to process your payment: a valid e-mail address at which you are able to receive e-mail, a valid postal address at which you are able to receive mail, your first and last name, and a password to protect your account. Members can go to My Account at valoramas.com to correct or update their Personal Information (information such as name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address).

What happens if I have cash back in my account when my membership expires and I decide to leave the program?

If you choose not to renew at the expiration of your membership and the amount in your cash back account is less than $15, the money will be contributed by Valoramás to a community initiative.

How often are purchases and cash back reported?
Daily, with the latest purchase and cash back information gathered from our online participating retailers. In order for your Member account to be credited with cash back, the participating retailer must inform us of the cash back that you have earned on your purchase. Please note there may be a lag of up to 8 weeks from the time of purchase to the time cash back is posted to your member account. With travel merchants, like Expedia, your account will not be creditied with cash back until the actual travel dates have passed. For instance, if you purchase tickets today for a trip occurring in 3 months, you will see your cash back only after that trip has concluded.

Does using bookmarks to access participating retailer sites affect cash back?
Yes, you will not receive any cash back from us if you use bookmarks to access the Web sites of participating retailers. Why? Merchants identify your purchases by a special code provided to them when you click to their site from our Shopping Mall. You must begin every purchase at the Valoramás site to earn cash back.

Does my browser need to accept cookies to track cash back?
Yes, you must enable cookies on your computer to track cash back on your purchases. Our merchants and partners also utilize cookies to process your cash back. When you visit a participating retailer’s Web site either through valoramas.com or by using the Toolbar, your click on the retailer link generates a special code that tells the participating retailer to record your purchase and pass back the information so the appropriate cash back will be credited to your Valoramás account.

Will I lose cash back on a return?
Yes, you will lose cash back earned on returned items. The item returned will be subtracted from your total cash back and listed in “My Account.”

Can I earn cash back from online merchants not listed in the Mall?
No. Only online purchases made at participating merchants will earn cash back. If you would like to see a retailer added to our Shopping Mall, please ask them to contact us at support@valoramas.com.

Can I use cash back to make purchases on Valoramás.com?
Yes. Cash back in your account can be used to:

  • buy gift certificates that you may give to others; and
  • pay for your annual Valoramás membership when due

You may use all of the cash back in your account (if you have enough to complete the transaction); or you may combine cash back with additional amounts charged to your credit/debit card to complete the transaction.

You may not use cash back to make purchases in the mall.

If I have a question about a missing cash back credit, whom should I contact?
If it’s a question specifically regarding your cash back credit and it has been 8 weeks or more since the date of your purchase, you may contact Valoramás Member Care at membercare@valoramas.com. Please be sure to state that you are contacting us in regards to a cash back credit. You must provide your Valoramás membership number.

How do I purchase Valoramás gift certificates?
Valoramás gift certificates may be purchased when you are logged in to the Valoramás site. Click the “GIFT A MEMBERSHIP” button on the homepage and you will be taken to the Membership Gift Certificate page. Here you can purchase a Valoramás membership that you can forward to your desired recipient.

Gift certificates may not be used to renew your Valoramás membership.

If I have a question about my purchase, whom should I contact?
If you have a question or concern regarding your purchase, contact the retailer’s customer service department. A customer service phone number or e-mail address should be available on the retailer’s web site.

Why is a purchase missing from my “My Account”?
There are several possible reasons why a purchase may be missing from your transaction report:

  • The merchant may have not yet confirmed that you made the purchase. For certain services, such as booking a flight or vacation, the merchant will confirm your purchase after the trip is taken rather than when it is purchased;
  • The product or service purchased is on the merchant’s “restricted” or “non-commissionable” list and cash back cannot be paid out (all available restrictions will be listed on the merchant’s detail page in the Valoramás Shopping Mall); or
  • The click from the Shopping Mall to the merchant’s site was not tracked. If you feel that this was the case, please contact us here.

When should I contact you about a missing purchase in “My Account?”
It may take up to 8 weeks from the transaction date for a purchase to appear in your transactions report. If that time has passed, please contact us here. Be sure to state that you are contacting us in regards to a cash back credit. You must provide your Valoramás membership number. You will also need to provide the retailer’s name, transaction date, transaction amount, and confirmation number or other proof of the transaction. We will research the status of your cash back and respond ASAP. In some cases we may also need to ask for supporting documents.

If I have a question about a missing cash back credit, whom should I contact?
If it’s a question specifically regarding your cash back credit and it has been 8 weeks or more since the date of your purchase, you may contact Valoramás Member Care here. Please be sure to state that you are contacting us in regards to a cash back credit. You must provide your Valoramás membership number.

Why is a negative amount listed in my transaction report?
A negative amount may reflect a return, a portion of an order that is not eligible for cash back (for example, shipping and handling) or a partial order shipment, which will count toward your cash back after the remaining order ships.

Do you offer a guarantee if I am dissatisfied with a purchase?
No. We do not offer a guarantee on your purchase with an online merchant. Each merchant is responsible for the quality of its merchandise. All returns of merchandise are handled by the participating retailer involved. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase in any way, please contact the merchant directly so they may correct the issue. To return any merchandise, please contact the participating retailer directly.

Are my purchases tax deductible?
No. Online purchases made through Valoramás are not tax deductible.

Coupons, Discounts and Gift Certificates

Can I redeem coupons, discounts or gift certificates through the Shopping Mall?
The redemption process for each participating retailer is different. Follow the retailer redemption policy available on the coupon or gift certificate.

Will I receive cash back if I use coupons, discounts or gift certificates through the Shopping Mall?
You may not earn cash back when using a gift certificate. View the retailer’s detail page for restrictions, and always begin your shopping at our Mall before clicking to a retailer.

Giving Back

Does Valoramás support our community?
Valoramás gives back a significant portion of its pre-tax revenues to its members and to organizations making a difference in the Latino community. Every single transaction – from the sale of memberships, to member product purchases via the shopping portion of Valoramás, to advertising revenue and much more – generates funds to help expand possibilities for our members and our communities. So the more Valoramás members there are, the more Valoramás can give directly back to organizations serving the needs, hopes, desires, challenges, and opportunities in the Latino community.

What is Valoramás’ Funding Policy?
Valoramás is focused on four areas of critical need:

  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Community Development
  • Arts and Humanities

Valoramás’ team of community executives are working with nationally recognized Latino community leaders to ensure that the award process is transparent and maximizes benefits to the Latino community. We value transparency and integrity in all of our dealings, especially when it comes to our work within the Latino community.

Valoramás is committed to geographic and programmatic diversity.

What are the Fund’s eligibility criteria?
Interested not-for-profit organizations should request a Grant Application at application@valoramás.com.

To receive an application, however, an organization MUST:

  • be an autonomous Hispanic community-based/ community-focused organization;
  • be financially sound and provide current audited financial statements (please note that we have a strong preference for organizations with an IRS-designated nonprofit tax-exempt status);
  • demonstrate a commitment to serving Hispanics;
  • have an identifiable Hispanic constituency for which it advocates;
  • demonstrate alignment with the Valoramás’ focus on creating measurable impact in the Latino community in the areas of Education, Health Care, Community Development, and Arts and Humanities; and
  • be consistent with Valoramás’ values. Applicants must adhere to the highest ethical standards of conduct stated and be in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws. Each applicant organization should have a formally adopted code of ethics with which all of its trustees, staff, and volunteers are familiar and to which they adhere.

Are there programs Valoramás does not support?
Yes. Please note that Valoramás will make no grants to:

  • promote any business purpose;
  • promote specific religious activities or beliefs; and
  • support lobbying or political organizations.

Are there geographic restrictions for funding?
None, other than those listed above.

Is there a specific range of dollar amounts awarded for grants?
No.

Who decides which groups will receive awards?
Valoramás has a team of community executives that will work with nationally recognized Latino community leaders to ensure that the Fund award process is transparent and maximizes benefits to the Latino community. Valoramás’ community giveback model has been based on the best practices of the most successful philanthropic entities, as well as organizations such as the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy. We value transparency and integrity in all our dealings, especially when it comes to our work in the Latino community.

Security

What does Valoramás do to protect my personal identifying information?
Valoramás maintains the confidentiality of all user communications which contain personal user information and which are transmitted directly to us. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information. These measures include computer safeguards (industry standard 128 bit encryption over a secure socket layer connection), firewalls, and secured files and buildings.

Is shopping through Valoramás’ website secure?
Yes. We value your privacy and security, and safeguarding your personal information is one of our primary objectives. When purchasing online through Valoramás connections are made to the online merchant’s web site. Please contact individual merchants for additional information.

What if I forget my password?
Click on “Forgot Password?” in the login window and follow the instructions.

Login Issues

I am unable to log in with my membership number. What should I do?
In such a situation, please e-mail us at membercare@valoramas.com.

Credit Card Issues

Why was my credit/debit card charged twice?
Please contact us at membercare@valoramas.com and we will try to fix the problem.

Why was my credit card declined?
There are a few possible reasons why your credit card might have been declined; our credit card processing service does not specify the cause. We recommend contacting your credit card provider for further information.
